Why airplanes
have changed people’s lives?
Airplanes
are primarily the most important kind of transportation which has changed
people's lives to a great extent.
Before
the invention of airplanes, people used to travel by ship to reach far off
places located across the oceans and seas. This mode of travel was slow and
took days to complete one journey.
As
man explored different nations, trade and other diplomatic exchange started to
grow. Trade used to be slower because of long duration of the journey via
sea/ocean. But with the advent of the airplanes the journey time has reduced
drastically --- from days to just hours!
With
the reduction in travel time, the countries have come closer on the globe, in
that it has become easier to reach another country in much lesser time. Hence,
the international trade flourished much faster. All the related diplomatic
decisions which required travel across the oceans and seas, could be made
faster. The global economy on the whole improved. Development of anything in one
part of the globe could be easily and quickly made available to the other parts
of the world. This was specially true in the field of Technological
development. For example, in the software Industry the major technological
development has taken place with the quick exchange of manpower within nations.
All of this was possible bacause of faster travel between the nations located
miles and miles apart.
Since
the travel time across the oceans was reduced (and hence the travel made
faster), different nationalities with different religions, customs, cultures
etc could come closer and mix together by frequent visits to other countries.
Airplanes have also helped in reaching to some of the forlon picturesque
islands, which otherwise would have been left behind in terms of economic
development. With the help of airplanes, the tourism has flourished in such
places and hence contributed a lot to their source of income.
In
short I would say that the phenomena of airplane invention has evolved a global
overview in terms of trade, economic development, mixing of different races,
cultures etc.
